Diana: I'm so glad you made it, and even more glad you enjoyed it! This is one of the first dishes I think of making once the weather starts getting a little nippy, and it's always appreciated by family and friends.

Thank you so much for posting this!

I made it on Friday night for my notoriously picky boyfriend and friends. Everyone was in love. Not only was it easy to make after a long, cold, rainy work day, but it was super delicious! I've never made chili before but I'm guessing this will be a more regular dish in my house.

Jeff: So go eat something. There are leftovers in the refrigerator, silly husband of mine.

Year on the Grill: I agree. It’s one of those “warm you up from the inside” foods.

Lululu: Glad you like it!

Curtis: Yes, you should have ;)

Patty: I promise to make it if you promise to come and eat it :D

Natasha: I agree. I like a lager better than ale. I’ve tried ale, but I feel it has some bitter undertones that can throw off the flavors.

Marla: The leftovers are even better!

Lea Ann: Lol! I can’t wait to see that recipe. I’ve only been adding the beer for the last few years. Like I said, it’s and ever-evolving recipe ;). But I really like the tang it adds. I’ve used ale before, and I have to say I like the lager better. So just in case you can’t find Canadian beer, use a good lager from anywhere 

Chris: Two things: First, if I were half as clever as you, I would have called this Moose Head Chili, because I think it’s funny, and because there is nothing wrong with misleading advertising if it’s funny, right? Second, admit it; now that you’ve put it down in writing you’re thinking about making moose chili. C’mon, admit it.

Noelle: It is, and thanks!

Oh wait....Moosehead, not moose head. Dang it, do you have ANY idea how long it took to take off those antlers and dice that moose head I stole from the hunting lodge? :)

Chili looks great and very good photography.

Fabulous Post and as always great pictures. I love chili, and probably haven't made it enough this fall. I'll post my recipe soon, and the name of my chili is "Toto, I Have A Feeling We're Not In Kansas Anymore Chili". :-) I like brown sugar in chili also but have never added beer. I'll have to pour a little in next time I make my chili - and of course, I'll use Canadian! :-)
